Anyone heard of this scenario.  I have had a Viper791XV in a 2000 Durango for a couple of months now.  Every once in a while when the command to start is given it powers up and hits the starter for a fraction of a second and then aborts, resets and tries again.  Always on the second time it is able to rotate the engine and ultimately start it although with more trouble than it should because the engine is now slightly flooded by the first aborted attempt.  It seems to be slowly getting worse as the temps get colder or time goes on.  This is a factory refurb unit and I was wondering if this was a problem that someone had seen or heard of previously.

Thanks as always

How is the battery in the vehicle?  If the battery is low I have had DEI units abort and retry.

The battery seems to be fine although I will test tonight.  It seems to supply plenty of power for a manual start and I have not had any problem with it prior.

I have had it where the remote start won't start it but the key will and it was because the battery was low.

Jason, did you get a reading on the battery you had to replace?  I would be interested to know so I can compare with mine.
