Is there any power window module that is recommended over others? I'm thinking about the DEI 529t.

Are any of the currently available units "amperage sensing", that would know if the window is already up, or are they all based on a "time to roll up" function?

I want to add power windows to an 89 Honda Civic (I've got the JDM motors and regulators) and have a Code Alarm CA 140. I am only interested in powering "up" two windows when the alarm is activated.

I have used Crimestopper's 5501. This is a 2 window unit and allows activation by either a constant ground when the system is armed (starter kill relay wire) or will activate upon a pulsed output from the alarm. (trunk pop) This unit senses the voltage going to the window and shuts off when the window reaches the top. I have never had any problems with this unit.
