just got a used alarm off a guy as a trade in.    I uninstalled the old alarm and put a new one in,    he said he didnt want any of the junk alarm, syas it would randomly go off and such...well it had a 508d senson hooked up to it, I want to hook this to my 550esp, when I hooked all the wires to the matching on the harness it dosent light up when armed and no sensor whatso ever, he said some people had -played with the settings, I tried to re adjust but nothing,   any suggestions?   Is it fried?

You matched up the wires? Did you splice them in? To test just plug it in to the shock port. If it works fine like that then get a seperate constant, use the ground when armed output for negative use a negative input for full trigger (that way you still have zone identification) and you can tie into the prewarn on the shock, but I would suggest diode isolating it. I have tried several different ways of adding a 508d on an alarm and still using the shock as well, this is what worked best for me

Alright, first if the 508d's harness is cut connect the red to constant +12, black to ground, and connect the blue and green to the blue -multiplex wire on the main harness. If it the harness is still there then try just plugging it directly into the alarm. If you still don't get any lights then try to adjust the outer dial, this should be sensitivity, don't adjust the other dial though so double check this.

yea, looked at the dials     they are both adjusted i might have to play with them for awhile, but I still get no lights when I plug directly into the shock port

Let the module on the shock sensor port and step away from the vehicle.
Arm the system and wait a few seconds.
Then step closer to the vehicle until the green will light up.
If it does not then the 508D might be damaged.
