Viper 600 esp remote programming

I bought a Viper 600 esp off of Ebay to install on my 1995 Chevy S-10 ext cab.  It was alot more work than I thought it waould be.  You guys deserve every penny you get for installing these.  I got it all connected, and I have double-checked all my wires. 

However, I'm following the directions, and I can't get the receiver to recognize my remotes.  I can get all the appropriate beeps/LED flashes for deprogramming the remotes, but when I try to program the remotes it acts it just doesn't take.  I have green lights flashing on both my remotes.  Eventually, the programming times-out and ignores any of my remote buttons.

 If you sure you are entering the program mode for remotes. Being a second hand alarm try new batteries in you remotes , note the led on the remotes will still light up even when the batteries are running low. But it does sound a bit sus that both remotes dont work.

Thanks, I swapped the battery out of my wifes KE remotes.  It made no difference.  Is it possible that the remotes aren't for my alarm?  Or can any remotes work with this mainboard.  Also, I received a cable for an extended receiver, but not the ext receiver itself.  There is an on-board receiver on the 600 right?

any advice on what I should try next?

I looked up the remote list here:https://www.directechs.com/guides/transmitterguide.asp

but the 600 ESP isn't listed.  The remotes I have are 476V.  replacement remotes on the net cost at least $40.  That's what I paid for the whole system.
