go to feature 8 on remote start programing on the booklet it says N/A but believe me it works then you get siren and parking light to confirm one beep then now its set for 0.8 sec crank time instead of 1.0 crank time it makes a difference....... one beep 0.8 sec crank 2 beep 1.0 sec crank 3 beep 1.2 crank and 4 beep 1.5 sec crank time so your goal is to set feature one 0.8 crank time......................Later.         JERSEY AUTOTRONICS.

What is the model # of the unit?

Usually is the other way around and they undercrank, not overcrank. Maybe the unit is bad
