ok i got a older car with a command start from like 4 or 5 years ago...
its carburated and its got a solenoid installed on the carb or something and it pumps the gas
and then it waits 2 seconds to crank the engine and it works great!
my problem is i dont have a alarm...
this one shop said they could hook the new alarm i want viper 690xv :) and then they could wire the old command remote wire for the antena or something and wire it into the alarm so i could just hit a button on my new alarm remote and it would send a signal to the old command start to start the car like it always does... pump gas twice and wait 2 seconds then crank over the engine... etc
it makes sense to me but i wanna know what u guys think before i spend all this money...
thx guys :)

if the remote start works then i would say go for it, but keep in mind with the alarm triggering the remote start system you will only get the range of the alarm, wich in some cases is only 50 feet. i would ask what the range of the alarm is before you purchase it. if it's not great then change the entire system to a starter/alarm, and keep the throttle solonoid to pump the carb.

SWEET.

yes of course, the command start has a yellow input that triggers the starter when grounded. Use the WHITE/ Blue wire from the 690xv, then take the ground while running wire from the command start (white or purple, I can't remember) and run it to the blue wire on the 690xv (multiplex input) this will shunt the ign and shock sensor inputs during remote start.

alright i got everything installed it all works great!
only thing wen car is started i cant shut off the old command start from the remote.. which is nothing and i expected this i just gotta let the car run for 15 mins or go out and hit the brake pedal :P
now my front running lights wont go on or flash when i arm or disarm the rear lights work and when i start the car now my headlights or running lights dont go on...
when i'm driving the yellow running lights are supposed tobe on they arent though but my signals and everything work...
the old command start used to turn running lights on and headlights and running lights would flash when u poped the trunk or unlocked the doors...
anyone have any ideas?
what it could be im gunna change the bulbs tomorrow
he said he checked out all the fuses and couldnt figure it out for the life of him..
any help would be great thx guys
