i'm trying to wire a 93 ford taurus, everything is working perfectly except the doorlocks.
i'm using a 451m, but it can only lock the doors. if i swap the wires, it will unlock the doors, but i cannot get it to do both. i'm not very experienced in doorlock interfaces.

Have you metered your UNLOCK wire from 451? If U can swap the LOCK wire to Loc or UNLock, then it sounds like there is NO output from UNLock wire.
OR
You may need to use 2 SPDT Relays for stronger ground
Power Lock | PINK / YELLOW | DRIVER KICK |
Power Unlock | PINK/LIGHT GREEN | PANEL * |
* Without OEM Keyless..... Entry Reversal Rest At Ground Door Locks
With OEM Keyless .....Negative Pulse Door Locks
. It Is Common For Lock & Unlock Wire Colors To Reverse.

LOL sorry, i was gonna post about the 85 p/u, but somehow i lost my train of thought and asked the taurus question... anyway
no oem keyless... i suppose the 451m may be malfunctioning, but i'm sorta confused by the vehicle wiring info provided...
i've not a lot of experience with domestic doorlock systems.
Door Lock | Pink / YELLOW | Driver's Kick Panel Reverse Polarity |
Door Unlock | Pink/Light Green | W/Keyless Negative Trigger |
if there is no keyless, then i'm not interested in a pink/lightgreen wire, the 451 should just connect to the pink / YELLOW wire?
