I'm putting keyless entry on my 85 mercedes 300 SD.  That model does not have a vacuum actuator in the driver's door, so if i hooked up my alarm with the relays into the vacuum lock system, the driver's door lock will not move, because it is just a manually controlled switch for the rest of the system.  I need to find a solenoid that i can install to move the locking mechanism on the driver's side door.  Does anybody have suggestions?  Thanks,

barrett

Just use a door lock actuator. These can be found for pretty cheap at almost any alarm shop or stereo shop. You will need 2 relays as well to operate the actuator.
