I am installing a compustar alarm in a box trailer with its own 12 volt source. Question is, i would like to have the electric brakes engage if the trailer is moved without disarming the alarm. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have not decided which Compu star unit would be the best to use at this time. I will have door contacts and motion detectors and will need a paging system.

I am sure it can be done, but what happens when the person forgets to disarm the alarm and tries to take off with out diarming the alarm. The only thing I can think of at the moment is using the ground when armed output, siren output, or rigging up a latching relay that will lock down with a trigger. If you use the ground when armed wire or latching relay then there will be a possibility that it can kill the trailer's battery, only after a trigger for the latching relay.

Always check info with a digital multimeter.
I promise to be good.
Tell Darwin I sent you.
I've been sick lately, sorry I won't be on much.
I suggest the 2W8000FM-AS Compustar unit. What you can do is have it tied into the second stage trigger on the impact sensor to trigger a wire that will engage the air brakes. You will need to wire in a momentary to constant realsy as well so that the brakes will activate until release by a disarm (-) from the alarm ( yet another relay ).
Also, auex, if the person forgets to disarm the system and it was armed, the siren would go off. If you have the brake release trigger coming off the DISARM of the Compustar, the brake will be released upon disarming of the alarm system.
