Has anyone have any experience with the Autostart AS-6010TW. How is the range and overall functionality of the system. How does it compare with the Compustar 2wfm or the viper 690 xv. Lemme know what u guys think. Thanks.

I installed a couple of these last year and they were OK. The range was reasonable but nothing that WOW'd me when testing it after instalaltion. In comparison the the Compustar 2W8000FM, it doesn't even compare. The Compustar 8000FM kicks it on range, user functions, installer functions as well as the Compustar give you two remote controls as well as has a better shock sensor than the AutoStart.

Ease of installation is about the same for both units. The only drawback with the Compustar is that it doesn't have alternating polarity door lock wires but the Autostart has the INV-200 that inverts the polarity for (+) type door lock systems. Very handy when dealing with older Chevy's or European vehicles.
