I WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS PREFER. I LEARNED ON RUNNING TACH WIRE, BUT HAVE BEEN RUNNING VOLTAGE CHECK MAYBE I'M GETTING LAZY BUT I WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE BEST IS FOR THE UNITS. I INSTALL ALL VALLET AND HORNET PRODUCTS 90% OF THE TIMES.

Tach is always better. Voltage is lazy and really should never be used. Many units do not even have voltage checking since it is not a professional way of doing things. First of all, with voltage checking a timer is used to start the car. Tach mode monitors the tach and energizes the starter as long it needs to be to startr which is how you do it when you start the car with the key. Now some cheaper units still use a timer in tach mode, but like I said they are cheap.
