I have a Hornet 554T and was wondering how accurate the temperature indicator was on the two way remote. Mine seems to be either 10 degrees to cold or 10 degress to warm. Also, where is the temperature sensor located?

TIA

I am assuming it is located in the brain beacuse I have mine mounted next to a heater vent and that things goes up to 100 degrees after I have my heat on for a while.

Does the temperature read normal ambient after it has been sitting for a while?

Yes after the heater ducts cool off of course. Then it reads to approx + or - 5 degrees.

the circuit was not designed to be militarily precise, just to give you an idea of interior ambient temp......  you want to avoid using the temp setting for automatically activating RS.... i had about half a dozen of those units freak out and lock up on the auto temp activation feature during really cold weather.... use the timer modes instead.....
