So my shop FINALLY decided to start carrying remote starts and alarms (after 8 years of pestering them) and it looks like we will be carrying UltraStart and maybe D.E.I.    UltraStarts wire database is like $300 for access and i havent checked what dei's is. My managers are tightwad cheapskates who cringe at the thought of having to spend money to make money (yes, they're not too bright most of the time), so i was wondering if anyone knows of a good ACCURATE Wire Color program that is cheaper. And  then for my own curiosity which programs do you find most useful? Thanks in advance, guys-----Mitch W.

I use OMEGA'S "THE DISC". It's like 50 bucks, but it only goes up to 2001.posted_image

You can free wire diagrams at this site, at design-techintl.com and at bulldogsecurity.com

But if you run into a vehicle that you dont have good wire info, you are going to spend a long time looking for the right wires and the right solutions to problems that only good software has the answers to. $300 dollars would pay for itself in a week of time saved by not having to look for wires: That is if the software is any good. Another thing is this: if you just go with the free databases online, you can likely search this site for almost any info that those charts do not have and probably find a topic that mentions it.
