I have a 1996 Nissan Maxima with OEM alarm. The alarm is pretty useless and I want to cut out the wires. I'm thinkin of using the Panic Button on the remote for other purpose. Anyone know the location of the alarm? Which wires to cut? Thanks

No..Do not do it..ever.
I own maxima's. The anti theft module (oem alarm) is tied into various circuits such as door locks, door trigger, trunk/hood trigger, horn circuit, fuel circuit, starter circuit etc. Cutting it is going to render a lot of things useless and there is no known way, at least to me, of isolating specific function such as panic.
If you are going to install an aftermarket unit, tie it into the oem arm/disarm wires of the anti-theft control unit in the maxima. If you don't have an oem arm/disarm circuit in the aftermarket brain, tie your door lock/unlock wires into the OEM arm/disarm wires using a relay or diode (can't recall which) diagram that is available on this site. So, if you lock or unlock, it will send a pulse to the anti-theft brain accordingly and it will arm with lock and disarm with unlock.
I have known folks who tried the wire cutting route to disable factory with strange issues from no-start to just plain stalling. This is just my personal advice...Do you research and carry out as you wish..

Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate One more thing, when I press the Panic Button. Where does the signal go? I want to use channel for other purpose. If possible Or maybe I should stay away from it.

when you push the panic buttom, the BCM honks the horn.
There isn't anyway to use a factory FOB for anything than factory keyless (or in some cases to activate a remote starter, but it does that through multiple pulses from the door lock wire).
