When you say "Chip in the Key"  U probably need to be more specific.....Year, Vehicle, Model, etc.
There are vehicles with Resistor in shank of key.  Transponders in Key.  Resistance in Ignition Switch, etc.  There are many different ways of ByPassing these.  Some U can Relay ByPass, some U can use ByPass Kits, some U have to use a Programmed Key.

The 555U only requires a couple of wires to hook up. You don't even need to tap into the Immobilizer wires to use this module. You have the ground, power, ground out when running and ( optional ) is the key sense wire.
