on a 99 deville, to by pass the chip in the key, found the two small white wires in the orange harness, found my resistance in the key, and cant remember where i went from there. Its been a long time, I know i used a relay but cant remember how i used it

To permanently bypass the system you can install a relay across the 2 wires but then need to cut them both to prevent the key from sending the same resistence which would result in the computer not seeing the prope resistence. I just told you this so you know how it works so you can figure out how to temporarily bypass it.

All you need is a single relay:
Pin 85 to (-) out when running from RS
Pin 86 to 12v+ constant
Pin 30 to computer side of one wire (cut only one)
Pin 87a to the key side of the cut wire
Pin 87 to one side of the resistor and the other side of the resistor to the other white wire that you did not cut.
