ok ive installed my DEI 791XV and now my 2002 Nissan Frontier wont start. it will turn the starter and just keep running it. this happens with both the remote start AND using the key normally. Battery is fine and fuses look good.
Here is what I connected:
Starter Side Starter Wire BLACK / YELLOW Ignition Harness
Key Side Starter Wire GREEN/ YELLOW Ignition Harness
12 Volt Constant Input Green Ignition Harness
ACC Output WHITE/ Blue Ignition Harness
12 Volt Constant Input Green Ignition Harness
Ignition Output BLACK/ White Ignition Harness
12 Volt Constant Input Green Ignition Harness
2nd Ignition Output RED / Yellow Ignition Harness
Neutral Safety Input Yellow Grounded To Chassis For Testing.
Tachometer Input Pink/Blue ECM
(+) Brake Shutdown Input BROWN / Red Switch Above Brake Pedal
(-) Hood Pin Shutdown Input Hood Pin Under Hood
Now i disconnected the remote start brain and it still wont start with the key. Any ideas?

did you cut any other wires like power to your fuel pump?
-------------
gcorrea
ive had cars come in with messed up caps and rotors check for spark at the sparkplugs.

didnt mess with any fuel pump wires. and no wires were cut, all connections were made with inline taps.

you had to cut the starter wire for the starter kill relay are you sure it was the right wire. if you still have that problem start all over and remove the rs and try your ignition switch if it still doesnt start then you know the problem is not the rs.if after removing the rs your car starts try soldering the connections thats the only solid way to go.let me do some research on your frontier but try the above step first, and let me know what happens.

When you turn it over, (or just before turn-over) are all the dash "idiot lights" coming on for test?
I've had taps actually cut small gauge wires (Please solder, don't use taps, they heat-up and fail often) I totally agree with gcorrea, remove everything and bring it back to stock wiring, also really check the fusebox, you may have popped a fuse. Worst case scenario, you do not want to bring this to the dealer to hear "the guy who installed your carstarter fried the computer" Pull your starter and get the car back to square one.
As far as the fuel pump is concerned, you *should* hear it briefly pressurize the lines when you turn the key to ignition (2-3 second whine from the tank, barely audible) listen for it in a quiet environment like a garage. Good luck, I hate it when something like this goes bad.

My guess is the starter kill feature. Try just reconnecting the starter wire before removing the entire thing. You have 2 starter wires on that truck too, just so you know.
