This is gonna be my first car alarm with remote start install. I have a few ?'s about where the wires go. The alarm is a valet 562t with remote start for a 1997 Pontiac Bonneville SSE. Any answers would be very helpful. I probably don't even have to hook all these wires up. Here is the website for the install guide, https://www.autopreservers.com/562t/html

Control Module H1:

Orange(ground when armed output) - where does this go?

WHITE/ Blue(- activation input) - where does this go?

BLACK/ White(- 200mA domelight output) - do I need a relay to hook this wire up?

Blue(- 2nd unlock output) - where does this go?

RED / White(- 200mA channel 2 output) - what is this wire for?

Control Module H2:

GREEN/ Black(- factory alarm disarm - do I need a relay for this?

GREEN / WHITE(- factory alarm rearm) - where does this go?

Violet/Black(- 200mA channel 4 output) - what is this wire for?

Control Module H3:

BLACK/ White(neutral safety input) - where does this wire go?

Blue/White(- 200mA 2nd status/defogger) - where does this go?

Satellite Relay: Remote Start Auxiary Harness

Blue(- status output) - where does this go?

Orange(- 200mA 2nd accessory output) - where does this go?

Purple(- 200mA starter output) - where does this go?

Pink(- 200mA 3rd ignition output) - where does this go?

Um, did you say a "few" questions. You don't know where a single wire goes. Did you read the manual? Starting on page 13 it describes what to do with every wire you just asked about. Read then post your questions and phrase them in a way that describes what part of the manual you still don't understand. i.e. "The manual says this....What does that mean?"

  • This wire goes to a device that will send a (-) trigger to the unit that your installing and will activate the remote start function.

BLACK/ White(- 200mA domelight output) - do I need a relay to hook this wire up?

Blue(- 2nd unlock output) - where does this go?

  • You can have 2nd stage unlock if you wanted to , this allows the first press of the unlock button to just unlock the driver's door and the 2nd unlock press will unlock the other doors. If you want this done you will have to attach the 1st unlock to the driver's door lock motor and the 2nd unlock to the unlock wire of the vehicle.

RED / White(- 200mA channel 2 output) - what is this wire for?

  • This is for the control of any function that you want. ie. sunroof close, window close or open, turn on a device, etc. you will need modules or relays for this wire to activate the devices though

Control Module H2:

GREEN/ Black(- factory alarm disarm - do I need a relay for this?

  • No relay necessary, just connect to lt. green wire located at either door boot

GREEN / WHITE(- factory alarm rearm) - where does this go?

  • can not do this, must use OEM remote to arm system.

Violet/Black(- 200mA channel 4 output) - what is this wire for?

  • Same as 2nd channel output.

Control Module H3:

BLACK/ White(neutral safety input) - where does this wire go?

  • Not required , this is a automatic vehicle.

Blue/White(- 200mA 2nd status/defogger) - where does this go?

  • Used for  rear defrost as description says.

Satellite Relay: Remote Start Auxiary Harness

Blue(- status output) - where does this go?

  • THis wire is for any device that needs to be turned on when remote started and this wire looses power to it when remote start function is taken over by driver after brake is depressed. Used for bypass modules mainly or rear defrost as description says.

Orange(- 200mA 2nd accessory output) - where does this go?

  • This wire goes to the 2nd function wire as described above. This is a (-) trigger wire that operates a relay to give power to the secondary wire for remote start. This is not applicable to your vehicle.

Purple(- 200mA starter output) - where does this go?

  • This wire goes to the 2nd function wire as described above. This is a (-) trigger wire that operates a relay to give power to the secondary wire for remote start. This is not applicable to your vehicle.

Pink(- 200mA 3rd ignition output) - where does this go?

  • This wire goes to the 2nd function wire as described above. This is a (-) trigger wire that operates a relay to give power to the secondary wire for remote start. This is not applicable to your vehicle.

I think I almost got it, but I still dont understand where where this wire goes......

Control Module H1:

WHITE/ Blue(- activation input) - What device would this go to?

And the GREEN/ black(- factory alarm disarm) wire. The manual says to use a relay, but velocity motors said not too.Who is right? Do I even need this wire hooked up.

One more ? that I got is when I got the alarm there is like a bolt with a couple of nuts on it and a lock washer and it has like a black piece through the middle that can be depressed, what is that for?
