I recently installed a Clifford 3.5 alarm/rs into a 99 Durango (w/ only keyless entry). So far everyting works BUT the rs. I when I press the (*) twice to activate remote start, the remote indicates that only the first signal is received; the second is only tranmitted, and nothing happens. Does anyone know why this is? I think I hooked up (and tested) all required wires, and the remote is still at default. Any help is appreciated.

Check your wires...the alarm is not engaging the starter sounds like. Make sure the green side is going to key, and the other is going to starter. Also test all of your ignitions wires... The lock and unlock buttons will throw it in program mode.

i have found with these units you have to give it a definite pulse- pause-pulse... if you hit the * button twice fast it doesnt work often

OK, I retested the wires to find that I did not have a good connection between the neutral/safety switch and the neutral/safety wire (yellow, pin 3, 16 pin con.). Does anyone know the location of the neutral/safety wire on a 99 durango from experience, that can explain in detail where it is? What is the easiest way to get to it; can it be found anywhere else besides under the dash, maybe pcm?

the neutral safety wire ( BLACK/ white) should connect to the supplied toggle switch and then to ground
