I installed a Crime Stopper 2011rs with remote start on a 99 Nissan Sentra and I believe I have all the wires hooked up properly..hopefully..well except for the wire that goes to the trunk pin switch...anyways my problem is when I connect the battery terminals the siren immediately sounds off....I can start my car with the siren going off, turn my headlights on...my keyless entry works...my problem has to be the wiring...please help me....I've working hard on this...maybe someone can pinpoint what wires are hooked up wrong or something I may have not hooked up..cause I've hooked up the ignition, doors, brake, parking lights..I'm confused

Do you have the two siren wires reversed ? Check to see that your siren output wire is not outputting a 12 volt signal. Use a DMM or a light tester and post yor results. ------------- Jeff

I checked, but I have the black wire grounded like the instructions say and the BROWN / positive wire from the alarm module connected to the red wire...maybe I needed to specify my problem better though...I can't get the valet switch to do anything...the parking lights won't flash unless I use my factory keyless entry on the car...and the crimestopper remotes won't accomplish anything, but that I'm sure that is because I haven't had the chance to program them yet......thank you for trying to help

There's your problem.... the siren 12 + is supposed to go the the BROWN wire on the 9 pin harness. The RED wire is the 12 volt constant wire which will actiavte the siren all the time. As well the VALET mode may need to be accessed when the ignition is ON not OFF. Try this and check your wiring and post your results. ------------- Jeff

you have to make sure you have the right wires... sounds like either you have the wrong starter wire or the relay is not connected properly to the alarm. You also have to make sure the ignition wire will send positive with the key turned to the on position and run position. I can't have any other reading except in between.

I experienced similar problems with another brand of alarm/remote starter. I double checked all connects and relay and verified the ignition voltages. After contacting the compnay they told me it was probably a malfunction in the unit. Just sent it back and am waiting for a new one to come in. You should check your wiring again and if your sure about it consider returning it for a new one?
