Hello, I'm new to this.

I just hooked up a Mannix SM700 to my VW Polo.
I don't seem to be able to find the tach wire
and hand-brake switch wire. Any help is appreciated.

FYI, it's a 1999 VW Polo 1.4, MK4, manual transmission.

coming from the coil there are 2 signal wires one being green and brown the other green and yellow try these out if they dont work let me know if you could give me your engine code it would be more help to me thanks hope this works.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

I haven't checked under the hood yet but according to
the Haynes manual wiring diagram, the ECU has a GREEN/ red
wire that goes to the "ignition amplifier" which has 2
wires going to the "ignition coil", which in turn is
connected to the distributor.

I suppose the 2 wires between the "ignition amplifier" and the "ignition coil" are the GREEN/ brown &
GREEN/ YELLOW wires that you mentioned?

Is it possible to connect to the wire that run between
the ECU and ignition amplifier instead?

on my wiring diagram it is showing me another wire witch will operate the rev counter on the dash coming from the ecu the wire is GREEN/ black this should work, let me know if you have any more problems.

Thanks for the info.

I ended up being unable to find the tach wire :-(
But I managed to find the generator sensor wire and
set the Mannix to "generator sensing" mode.
Now it works ok.

For those who are facing the same problem, the generator
sensor wire is the blue one that goes into one of the
connectors above the fuse box.
