Anybody knows if the horn relay (from the junction block) has a ground wire connected to the body control module?
My horns honk continuously, and the relay is OK, so either the horn switches are bad, either the bcm went south. I suspect that somehow the bcm decided to command the horn relay 'cause all started when I opened the door. I don't have any kind of alarm installed, and the car doen't have a sentry key. I know there is a remote access module that the car came with, but I don't know if is enabled or not.
So basically I'd like to know if the ground connection from the horn relay goes to horn switches and bcm as well, and if it does how can I find the wire that goes to the bcm (color/pin)
Any thoughts?
how did you check the relay???????
check this wire under the dash with a meter...see if it show the 12 volts.....if it doesnt, then i would think that the problem is farther down the line.......

Hi draasch,
Thanks for the reply.
The relay was simple to check, I followed the test procedure from the Haynes manual, I even replaced it with another one, the problem here is that I have a ground contact all the time on the relay socket. The ground should be enabled only when the horn switches are closing the circuit, or the a ground comes from the bcm. I checked the switches this weekend and seems to be OK. The BLACK/ red wire you are talking about (steering column) enters into the junction block through C2 connector (back), but apparently I should have another ground (I didn't find it yet) comming from the bcm (there is a possibility that this circuit is integrated into the junction block, I need to take it off completely to be sure). Unfortunately it took a lot of time to get access to the JB and I didn't want to ruin all my weekend - the rain and the cold weather didn't help either - well canadian winter :). maybe next weekend. I'll keep you posted (eventually with pictures), but in the meatime if you have any suggestion just let me know.
Thanks,
S.
