I connected my first alarm ever on my car, and I was successfull except, when I arm and disarm the alarm it doesn't unlock and lock my doors. I located the lock and unlock wire in the kickside panel with my 12 volt tester when I unlock from the swicth on the door the light in the tester turns on and on the lock is the same. but when I hooked up the alarm i guess it doesn't send out a strong signal because it just makes a noise like it wants to unlock and lock. I wired up 2 realays the way it says it the relay section but it didn't work Im stuck and I dont want to pay someone to wire it up for me. any suggestions will be appreciated!!! my car is a mitsubishi galant 94 is there different ways to connect relays other than the ways in the relay sections
make sure that the relays are connected correctly and also that you have a good enough ground.

The galant uses (-) type door locks... If you are sending 12v to the vehicle lock relays, not much will happen. If the wires you are testing give a 12v reading, then you are testing the motor wires and not the lock wires. DL wires are GREEN / WHITE and RED / green in the driver door harness. Hope this helps.

Like he says, your car has negative trigger locks. Although, if you fused your relays the fuse should be popping and something in your relay is making the funny noises. Disconnect it immediately.
Use this diagram if you need relays but modify pin 87 of both relays to be ground.

I've been sick lately, sorry I won't be on much.
if you use your meter and you have the right wires, the meter will show 12v and will drop when you push the button in the car.....then use those wires......
