Hey guy's interesting thing happened.
Installing an alarm\remote start in a 2001 buick regal
used pldata to bypass
Had a wire wrong somewhere I think the data wire...anyone know what wire for sure?
So car went into protect or whatever it is, and while the pldata was dissconnected Someone tried to start the car....Now relays and such are buzzing under the hood and in the fuse panel, and it wont release the keys.
Anyone HELP???!!!

try disc.your accessory , turn on ign for 30 min. relearn theft deterent. if ok check all connections.

well here is the situation, car has sat for over 20 minutes the key is still lok\cked in the IGN. and the battery is about just about dead

try charging the battery.....it might be doing this beacuse the battery is low.... ------------- Good Luck

hey draasch...your right! We already tried charging the battery and bam eveything worked except the remote start...i guess thats for another post

the 2001 Buick regal has VATS not Passlock II
but the PLDATA should still work.

the 2001 buick has vats?????I was told before in my wireing diagram and color codes it was passlock 2, was someone wrong?

VATS is rather obvious by the black, visible pellet on the key shank. If so.... toss the PLDATA, wire up one relay, the correct resistance value, and done.
