I was wondering if the door trigger has to be hooked up. I have a valet 562t alarm and it does not say to hook up any door trigger wires, just unlock and lock wires.

i would wire the door trigger, i.e: if somebody tries to open the door while the system is armed, the alarm will go off.

Because this DEI model is intended to be a keyless entry (not security) system. There is no wire intended for door trigger connection.
