I am installing remote start on a 21 HP Briggs & Stratton engine for a carpet cleaning machine. I found the magneto wire that you typically groun out to kill the engine. Anyway, I read 9/2 volts AC on this wire,but it won't learn. I have tried the jumper in both positions. Shouldn't this work? I have it programmed for Tach Sense.

do you mean 9/2 as in nine halfs volts?

I think that that is a little too much voltage for the alarm to work with

Ya I think the wire caps off at 6 volts on the starter and outside that it wont program.
