Who has any idea on how to program a stupid cranky Prostart CT5500. This is an alarm / starter combo and the remotes do not come programmed and the infernal thing will not allow me to program them, the stupid alarm is going off continuously.

Shawn, thanks for the phone call. I was right, putting it into valet mode right off the bat did the trick, shut that mtfr right up and allowed me to program the remote. Now to find my tach and I am done like dinner.... except for the VW out in the rain.
