Always read good things about Compustar products so i installed a brand new 1WFM on a manual shift Mustang and it worked good for a few weeks but all of a sudden the range went from 1000+ ft to about 300 ft, I have all of the antena wire ran up and aroungd the a post to the rear veiw mirror and the antena is horizontal just above the mirror and i have the unit grounded to the dash and to the firewall in 2 places,

Did you check you remote battery and try replacing it ? If you already did, welcome to compustar reliability

I took the compustar batterys to radio shack and the dude said they were full of charge, I bought new ones anyway and still bad range, one remote is good for about 1000ft and the other about 250ft so i have junk equipment :(
