(SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS BUT I DID NOT REALIZE TILL AFTER I WAS DONE) I DID A FORD F150 REMOTE START/ALARM AND I AM HAVING TROUBLE ON THE DOOR LOCKS I KNOW THEY ARE A REVERSAL TYPE LOCKS . WHEN I HOOKED THEM UP I GOT BOTH LOCK AND UNLOCK ON THE DRIVERS DOOR AND ONLY UNLOCK ON THE PASSENGER DOOR. BOTH FACTORY SWITCHES ARE WORKING AS NORMAL I THINK I SAY THIS BECAUSE SOMETIMES WHEN I PRESS THE BUTTON ON THE DOOR TO UNLOCK-IT SEEMS WEAK ON ONE DOOR THE LEVER DOES NOT PUSH ALL THE WAY UP. mY WIRES I USED ARE PINK/GREEN AND PINK/BLACK I SEE NO PINK / YELLOW LIKE ALL MY INFO SAYS THAT THERE IS ,WELL AFTER LOOKING LIKE 10 TIMES THERE IS NO PINK / YELLOW WIRE AT LEAST NOT ON THE PASSENGERS SIDE KICK PANEL. I ALREADY CUT TWO WIRES AND THESE WIRES ARE READING AS FOLLOWS--

THE PINK/BLACK WIRE READS 12 VOLTS ON LOCK AND THE PINK/GREEN READS 12 VOLTS ON UNLOCK NOW BOTH THESE WIRES READS GROUND AT REST. NOW I SEE THAT THERE IS A PINK/ORANGE WIRE BUT THIS WIRE ONLY READS GROUND AND DOES NOT GO TO 12 VOLTS (+)AT ALL. SOMEONE HELP ME I AM CONFUSED .

I have not done one of the vehicles yet but if the door locks were 5 wire reversal door locks.. as soon as you cut one of tthe correct wires, the whole lock and unlock system should be dead. Sometimes the passenger side switch is the main switch.

You may not have a 5 wire reversal system, it could be +positve door lock system.

When i cut the pink/green only the passenger side worked when i cut the pink/orange nothing worked and i dont remeber what happened when i cut the pink/black but all i know is of all the pink wires that i tested the pink/green and the pink/black were the only ones to rest at ground and then on lock or unlock switch to positive. im thinking about going into the door to see what is there but that is my last resort. All the info i have says it is mastered from the drivers door and that is the switch that lost all operation when the pink/green was cut while this wire was cut the passenger worked both directions. Now here is a question if i have one wire that is correct but the other is not why did one door work and the other only in one direction????? Why did the doors seem weak while using the door switch sometimes only in the passenger door???? Do i have a current problem? The door that only works in one direction does not even try to lock i only hear the motor while it is unlocking. The drivers door always works great in both directions verry strong locking and unlocking while passenger seems weaker in the unlocking stage.((I AM VERY CONFUSED HERE AND NEED HELP). I dont understand this at all and i am needingf to get these locks working. When my wires are connected on the relay do i have to keep the motor side towards the passenger door because my master is the drivers door??? I hate 5 wire door locks and never understood them that much so if anyone can help please do thanks.

 ok i looked further into this now in the ford super duty the lock motor wire is pink/black and the same color wires stated above are suposed to be the switch wires(pink / YELLOW and pink/green). Now here is another question lets say that i have a motor wire conected to  relay #1 as a switch wire and i have the other relay #2 conected with the correct switch wire can i get the results i stated earlier (one door working one direction  and the the drivers door working both directions)?? If the pink/black wire is a motor wire it will test the same as a switch wire corect(resting at ground and positive on lock or unlock)?? I f the pink/black is a motor wire then on one of my relays i used that wire and on the other relay i used a pink/green which should be one of the correct switch wires anyone.please help me on this.

Hey mobiletoys;

Here's what I have for the 2000 Ford, this might sound redundent but maybe you didn't see something that I can help with:

  • POWER LOCK--------------pink / YELLOW
    POWER UNLOCK----------pink/green
    • Non-keyless versions are 5 wire ( located in the drivers door harness)
    • Keyless versions are negative trigger ( located in a gray molex plug to the right side of the steering column )
  • LOCK MOTOR---------------pink/black
    UNLOCK MOTOR-----------pnk/blk or RED / org

If you go straight to the motor wires you can activate them with a (-) or (+) current ( test the target wires with the switch and see what you get. Apply this polarity to the target wire after wards to replicate the switch toggle of the unlock /locking motion.

This is some information that I encountered with a 2001 Ford F-150 truck last spring. The system had a keyless entry modules from factory and the trigger type was A ( - ) for the door lock system. I found the DOOR LOCK wire in the keyless entry module above the drivers brake pdeal ( PINK / YELLOW ) and the UNLOCK  was in the PASSENGER KICK PANEL ( PINK/LIGHT GREEN ) . It is in the taped loom of wires coming along side the kick panle from the boot.

hey velocity thanks for the reply in your post you put drivers side so i cant get them at the passenger side ?  i think i'll look one more time in the passanger kick panel for the pink / YELLOW but if it is not there or i dont see it i am going into the passenger door to find the wires now here is the question i have. If when i find my wires in the door and then find them in the passenger kick panel on pin 87a do i have the side of the door lock wire coming from the drivers side go there?And if so do i do the same with both relays? So am i right that all my motor sides of the relay go towards the passenger door ? thanks

Passenger side if it's a base model ( both wires ) but for all other models,  driver's kick for lock wire and passenger side for unlock wire. If you grab the door lock/unlock wires from the passenger door switch, all you have to do is connect the 2 wires ( cut in half to make 4 ) and run these 2 halves to the relay. You will not have to run any wires from the driver side to the passenger side because the 2 wires that you connected to are also connected to the driver side lock/unlock circuit.
