I installed the alarm part of the alarm almost one year ago. Work fine. Tonight i've connected the remote starter part. The car start perfectly and the starter stop crank the engine just in time ! Everything is perfect EXCEPT that the parking lights are flashing slowly. Even after i put the key to "ON".

Car is a Probe GT 1990.

Right now i'm going to do a "Tach learn" procedure and i'll test if the car shut itself off when i push the brakes, release hand-brake or put the key to "ON" then "OFF".

My question is: Why it flashes ? I see nothing in previous posts, nothing in owner manual, installation manual or google.

Ok ! flashing stop when i stop the car by pressing the brake pedal or by setting ignition to "ON" and pussing the brakes. I've tested the turbo timer too and it work fine. I did not do the Tach learning because the car start fine..

Is this a way to show me that the car is running without a key ?

The system comes preprogramed from the factory to have the parking lights flash on/off while remote started. If you look under the section in the install manual for the different 3 different program catagories you'll see that you have an option to have the parking lights stay on constantly or do what they are doing now (flashing on/off).

Thanx !! it does not derange me this flashing thing.. i just wanted to know that my car would not get damaged by a mis-connection from me.

Now it is suppose to let you know that your car is started, and to also help you find your car in parking lots...
