I recently bought a 2005 Edition AlphaGuards AG-95G 2-Way Pagers Alarm System with Remote Engine Start

Just wondering if anybody has any tips on install, anything I am going to need or need to know before getting started?
Thanks!

Get several wiring diagrams for your car. (Start here, try the security of the large Georgetown mascot, etc.)

If you don't have a DMM, buy one.

Check the wires to make sure they do what your wiring diagrams say they do before you hook anything from your RS to your car.

Solder your wires. If you're not comfortable soldering wires, take a long piece of thick (10-12 gauge) and a long piece of thin (around 18 gauge) and practice soldering the wires to each other and themselves.

Give yourself lots of time. If this is your first install, don't plan to use the car that week. (You may well have it working by the end of the day, but things can go wrong...)

If you're not sure what a wire does, ask! Don't just leave it unhooked. . . And by the same token, don't hook up every wire just because you think it might be useful...

hey whats up? i personally own a 2000 pathfinder, and its a little bit more involved then a basic install. if its your first install ever, without any experience, the maybe take it to a pro. if you are determined to do it yourself, i can send you a wiring diagram if you want. also keep in mind there is a chip in the key that needs to be bypassed ( so you need an additional bypass module) , plus a 2nd starter that needs to be fired up with the use of a relay. there is also a factory disarm that needs to be pulsed.  let me know if ya need a diagram.  good luck
