Wire tied somewhere in the car that is (in rough order of importance)

A) away from moving parts (Not on steering column!!!)
B) a nice firm connection to the body of the car-- I like to tie to bracing struts or what-not. However, in a pinch, a nice big wire harness sometimes works...
C) somewhat centrally located

yes, i have mine on the fattest wire harness i could find on my truck and that sensor works nicely , just remember to adjust properly and experiment with different locations within your vehicle.

Astrostart suggest that you install the shock sense in a place where it will provide omnidirectional sensitivity.
