02 Civic IG Door locks w/ alarm

I have an 02 Civic and will be installing the Mannix alarm / remote start, i was wondering if it were possible to wire the doors locks to lock when you take the car out of Park, instead of when you put the key in and turn to on postion ??

Yes, although definitely a little more tricky-- you'll have to:

A) find the neutral safety switch (hint-- go to 7thgencivic.com and check their wiring diagram-- it's on the computer). Now that wire only tells you when you're in park or neutral, so you'll also need
B) a latching relay, a normal relay, and a single pulse generator to make the "ground when in park or neutral" signal from the NSS into a pulsing output and then fire the door lock circuit (only once) when that signal goes away. I would hook up the normal relay as follows: pin 85 to ignition, pin 86 to NSS, pin 87 to ground, ping 87a to ignition, and pin 30 to the latching relay. The latching relay should latch to ignition when it receives 12V from the normal relay, (and reset when 12V goes away), powering the pulse generator to send a negative pulse to the door lock circuit. There's diagrams for these under relays under special apps (contant to momentary, momentary to constant).

Perhaps an easier way to do this? And perhaps more trouble than it's worth, but I was already planning to do most of it to get my "poor man's DRLs", and I like the idea of it also locking my doors, but only when the car's in gear.
