Hey guys, very new here....

I'm gonna have a DEI 552t remote start/keyless entry installed next week. I have an 01 Ram automatic with the factory keyless entry (i dont think it's an alarm) my factory remote has lock/unlock and panic.

Is there any way to have the above system integrated using my factory remotes? Also, what is needed to "disable" the factory keyless system on a Dodge. I know I dont have a chip in my key or anything.

Is 179 installed a good price for the above starter/keyless system?

Your OEM remotes will still work with the above system installed. The only thing is that your range will be better with the DEI unit than the OEM unit. Are you wanting to try to install this system yourself ? You'll have a fun time with the keyless entry with these trucks..... pay the 179.00 and have the truck back by the end of the day in one piece or save yourself the couple of bucks and try to install this yourself and have your truck in pieces for days posted_image
