Have a Prostart CT3100 and a bypass module. Theft light is on. Vehicle starts and runs for almost 3 seconds and then dies. I am not a DEI dealer and as such am not familiar with the module. Input is needed. Connected the blue / black wire from the 555L to pin 11 on the CT3100 (starter kill out - ). Connected the violet wire on the 555L to the violet starter wire on the CT3100. Pretty sure that I nailed the bulb check wire correctly (the only black wire in the main harness with both constant power lines and the brown line (2nd ign?))

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
don't connect to the starter kill output, connect to a 3rd ignition ground out. You need it to be ground while the car is remote started. I'm pretty sure that is a problem you are having. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply Tim. Here is what I've done now. Connected the blue / black to pin 13 of the CR3100 (ground while running). The car now starts with the key and stays running. The thft light is still on. It will not remote start. The old try and die. I am going to let the vehicle run for minutes and see if the theft light goes out. Any more suggestions?

Update.... more on the 6:00 news at 11:00.
Moved my wires around again as the infernal light did not go out. Moved my purple wire to my acc wire. Car starts by key and no theft light.... progress. Remote start - try and die. Throw me a fricken bone here.

the problem with PL1 and the 555L is that you need a - during RS crank only ( which the DEI RS product supplies ) but your Prostart will not..... i 've had problems in this exact instance with other brands and you have to wire up a couple of relays to achieve this if i remember correctly....( 1 to convert crank + to - and 1 to key sense to ensure this only gets supplied during RS crank )

It's alive... it's alive.... I did just small search and found a reply from Shaugn (extreme1) from somewhere in AB (Visions if I remember right). He suggested the acc wire as it drops out to almost ground during the crank cycle. Seems to work OK, I'm going to try it many more times before I nail it together again.

violet on 555L should see a - during RS crank and nothing during key crank.....
all the DEI product has a ribbon cable with extra low current -'s to drive second relays.... many other products dont supply this....
just a suggestion as i fought my way through a similar Prostart/PL1 situation just like this before.......
