A year ago we took in a dodge neon in our shop for keyless entry install with us installing the actuators. We ended up telling the customer we couldn't do it because the lock bars were too thick for the actuator strap. I am talking with another customer about the very same thing in a dodge avenger but we have not gotten the deal yet and haven't seen the bars on the inside. My question is, are the lock bars going to be like the ones on the neon or will we be ok to use the actuator straps? Also if the bars are like the neons how do I install actuators? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Ryan

Not sure year of Vehicles or Name Brand Lock kit, but there are MANY different ways to hook up Actuators to Door Locks. You do not have to ALWAYS use the supplied "Straps" or Retainers. I usually use SPAL Door Lock kits and have had to monkey a few cars by using clamps, clips, welding, etc.

On a neon, if you follow the rod towards the latch, it actually gets slightly thinner, you can attach the clamp here. Not sure if the Avenger is the same.
