Is there a way to add a remote start to the existing factory remote control keyless system from a rx300. Im looking at the crimestopper 901RS. How would you program the remote?

Normally it would work off a double pulse generate from either your lock/unlock on your keyless system. The factory keyless remote has poor range. I would suggest putting in a aftermart remote starter/keyless because of the superior range.

Also would i have to wire in the door lock/unlock, or could i just use the factory remote for door functions and the aftermarket remote for start. Would i have to bypass the factory alarm and how would i do it?

the addon should have a (-) trigger that may label "disarm" or "pulse (-) prior to RS". the wire will require a relay to properly disarm it.
the diagram i sent is slightly diff from the 98-99, is that 98-99 be able to use 555F for transponder bypass.
the doorlock note #1070, search for direct fax under this sub-forum.
NOTE: when RS, the FOB keyless will be come obsolete. you have to bypass this also. i think you have to interupt the keysense (if it has one), am not familiar w/ these kind of issues.
