My car alarm appears to have died when the battery was disconnected by a mechanic. It survived 2 disconnects in the past 3 weeks (spark plug change and new battery). This was just to install the battery shield the idiot left sitting on top the engine when they changed the battery. Alarm is non-responsive to valet switch and remote.
Alarm installer is no longer in the business and dealership couldn't locate anybody who knew this alarm. They tried calling Clifford w/o luck and from prior experience I don't expect much from clifford.

Any troubleshooting hints or places for the mechanic to contact?

Disconnect the alarm-- if there are harness going into the main brain, disconnect them for several minutes (even an hour), and then reconnect them up. (Make sure you know where your valet key is-- this is likely to trip the alarm).

If that doesn't fix the problem, your brain may have finally given up the ghost, and it may be time for a brand-spanking new alarm...

Check the fuses for the alarm, reconnecting the battery could have potentionaly blown the fuse.
