Could someone please tell me what I just received with my remote start. It has Pldata.III on it and I am not sure if it works the same way as a Pldata II. I asked for the PLDATA that allows you to make 4 connections and you are good to go. But somehow I don't think that is what I got. This will be installed in a 2001 chevy silverado truck with the passlock 2 system in it. For Data out, it shows that it is going to the ignition wire and I had thought that it should be going to the ODB connector and it also has a pot on it to adjust the potentiometer? I scanned the instructions, but couldn't get the file size small enough to post it. Anyone have any idea what this is? Thanks.

Where did you purchase this from. All PLDATA or GMBP module are a 4 wire connection that has an automatic learning for Passlock II systems. What it sounds like you got was a manual tuning bypass that you have to manually set the resistance and tap into the actual Passlock wires at the key cylinder.
