I am upgrading my Viper 350 alarm to a Viper 791xv with remote start in my 1990 Full Size Bronco. Since my old alarm was also a viper, I already had the primary H1 harness, the door lock harness, and starter kill relay installed in the car. The only harnesses that I think I need to install are the Heavy Gauge Inline connector wires, and Remote Start Secondary harness (H3). I do not think I have to use the Secondary Harness (H2).
So I have installed the Secondary Harness (H3), the Heavy Gauge Inline Connector wires and plugged everything into the new module. When I press the button on the LCD remote, nothing happens. The remote start will not activate. What am I missing or what did I do wrong?
The only thing I am not sure I installed right was the heavy gauge wires. I connected the PURPLE wire to the Red Lt. Blue starter wire between the ignition switch and the starter kill relay. I also have connected the ORANGE wire to the accessory wire, PINK wire to the ignition wire and the RED / WHITE wires to the two power wires. All of these connections have been made between the ignition switch and the starter kill relay.
Does it make any difference if the PURPLE starter output wire is installed between the starter kill relay and the ignition switch? or does it have to be installed between the starter and the starter kill relay?
Where does the GREEN starter input wire go? is it mandatory that I connect this wire?
Do I need to install any of the wires in the Secondary Harness (H2)?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

the 791 has a starter kill relay inside of it, so you don't need another one. i would remove that relay. the green wire goes to the key side of the starter and the purple to the starter side.

also make sure that you have grounded your neutral safety wire which is the BLACK/ white

I was not sure if the 791 already had the starter kill relay because in the manual it says its optional. Would having both starter kill relays installed prevent the remote start to work? Because right now I have the starter kill relay from my previous alarm installed as well as the internal relay in the 791xv. When I press the star button on the LCD remote nothing happens. no signal is sent back to the LCD remote.

how about the hood pin wire. if this is seeing a ground, the starter will not activate either.
