I have a Toyota 4Runner with manual locks, and I bought some power door locks. I checked the security section, but I just got confused......3, 4, 5 wire? There are 2 wires coming out of the actual lock assembly.....One wire has markings that look like (-) Signs. The other wire is just plain blue. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Did you buy a complete set with relays and buttons? If you didn't you will have to use relays to hook the locks up to your security system.

Yeah, the other wire is green, Securinu, BUT! :)  I don't have an alarm, I just wanted to hook up power locks.....I'm planning on getting an alarm, but not for a while yet. I guess I will need a relay still, but where do I put the relays in the circuit? And I can't ground the Lock because you have to switch polarity to get it to 'push' or 'pull'  ?

Ohmz....No I didn't...I just bought the actuators?!(the part that actually does the pushing and pulling).

Another Question: There are no holes in the door or the door jam to run a wire....Any suggestions?

It's a 1990 4door.

Sidenote, but also interesting: I got the wiring diagram off this site for the stereo, and its not a match. It says attach the yellow to the (-) of the left rear......there is no yellow wire coming out of the stock stereo!!!! Anyone know where I can get a different color scheme?

Thanks Securinu....

I reread you're post:

Now I understand what you're saying. I'm gonna give it a try.

there is a hole in the bottom hinge of the door run thru that hole and drill a hole thru the access hole inside the kick panel. use loom th protect the wires.

Sorry, I forgot to ask...can I run 4 actuators off the same relay in parallel? If so, what size of relay should I use?
