hey guys, i got my viper installed yesterday and my led is flashing in patterns of 4, even when im driving.  It just flashes regular when its locked/armed.  I have the locks, hood, and truck hooked up to it and i have no idea how to stop it from flashing when im driving.  Its blue so its pretty bright when going down the road at night.

Thanks for the help,

Kyle

Try checking the ignition wire. your alarm might not think the key is on

Everything works perfect though.  The remote start works fine and the locks and everything, but the led is always flashing.

Well then it is one of two things. First thing it could be is you have the ignition wire wired wrong, second your alarm is defective. I am betting on the first one.

You said that your locks work, what about after you get into the car, close the door, and then start the car? Do to the doors lock automatically like they should?

How many chirps do you get when you disarm the alarm?

Arm your alarm and try to start it with the key.

If you get 4 chirps when disarming the alarm then it definately has to do with the ignition wire. The four chirps indicates that the alarm is not resetting itself with the ignition being turned on, normally if the alarm is disarmed it will chirp 2 times, if the alarm was set off then it will chirp more the twice. If you had it installed take it back and have them fix it. If you installed it make sure the ign wire for the remote start is going to the TRUE IGNITION wire for the car.

I am 100% sure it is either the ignition wire is not hooked up right or there is something wrong with the alarm.

shouldnt take long to fix, probally a 20 minute thing once they pull the car in, pull it apart diagnose the problem and fix it, main thing is to let the guys have the time they need to fix it, it should have beeen done right to start with but putting time preasure on an installer never gets you anywhere.

Hey guys i took it to the installer this morning and everything was hooked up right.  BUT the harness had came aloose when he was putting the brain under the dash.  So a quick push on the harness to put it back on the brain was all it took.  Thanks for the help guys.

awsome, was pretty sure it had to be an easy fix. The viper stuff is rarely at fault when somethings not working right, its almost always install related.
