I need to hook up relays for a 2001 caravan single wire lock system. Below is a link

https://www.designtech-intl.com/Content/techsupport/documents/section04/note228.pdf

to a relay solution for a tranistorized door lock outputs like mine (Prestige aps25H), but for a 1996-2000 caravan. I know that the 2001 resistors are the same, but is the rest of the wiring the same as the diagram. The 2001 is a negative ground pulse and the top digram infers that the 1996-2000 is also a ground, but how does this solution pictured provide the ground?

I'd like to be sure the wiring is correct before hooking it up.

I may have answered my own question. Best I can tell, the 2001-2004 caravan has the negative multiplex lock system, whereas the 1996-2000 is positive multiplexed. This being the case, relay pins 86 should be grounded rather than attached to +12v.

Just change pin 87 to ground.
