Put a Bulldog 1200E on the wifes van, had some problems with feedback through the electrical system causing the accessories to not work properly and after spending an hour on the phone with their tech support, they finally came back to me a week later and told me to put a diode in the circuit to prevent the feedback.

That took care of the immediate problem and things worked correctly, however now the wife tells me the instrument lights, specifically, the needles on the tach, speedo and other gauges no longer light up as red.  Backlighting all works fine but the needles don't light up.  I don't drive it enough to know if they ever lit up red, but I'm guessing they probably should.

Could the remote start be causing this, I've pulled the fuses and unplugged the box and they don't come back on, so maybe they are simply burnt out.  However, I find too much of a coincidence that this happened at the same time I put this remote start on.  Ideas?

The Chrysler didn't need a ACCESSORY wire hooked from the remote starter. The accessories automatically turn on with the ignition. Where did you place the diode onto ? Also, what wire did you use for the parking light wire for the Chrysler ?

Thanks for taking the time to read about my situation.

You are correct about the accessory wire, I do not have one hooked up.

I used the following diagram to hook this up https://bulldogsecurity.com/New%20Wires/New%20Wires/Wires/chrytc01-03.htm. as well as the diagrams that depict the relays and resistors for the parking lights as well as resistor and relay for what they refer to as the negative 2nd start wire.   The diode was placed just downstream of the fuse that powers the relay.

The wire used for the parking lights was the WHITE/ brown located in the harness just behind the light switch.

Problem solved, disconnected the battery to reset the BCM....dash is lit up like a Christmas tree again.
