I have installed a Crimestopper CS-2011RS series IV alarm/remote start/keyless entry into a 99 TL 3.2. The problem I'm running into is how to disable the factory alarm during remote starts. As it stands if I remote start the factory alarm goes off. to get around this I'm simply sending a disable/unlock prior to starting, this isn't ideal.

The Crimestopper does have an OEM alarm disable option - but - The only way I can see to disable the factory alarm is with a door unlock. The problem here is that the Crimestopper alarm sees the unlock as a breakin (it is still monitoring the doors just before the remote start.) So either way I have to send a disable/unlock before starting or one of the alarms will sound on a remote start.

Any ideas on how I can remote start with just 1 button?

can't you program the crimestopper to unlock before starting?

I looked for that but the closest programming option they had was lock during/after remote start.

I see from an old post that there is a 'Disarm No Unlock' (blue) wire at the drivers door key cylinder. This isn't on my directwire chart. Can anyone verify this?

Thanks

yes this is correct my information says the same...I never went to it, cause of all the work involved...i just made it unlock before start, but if you can't do that on that system. This is the only way for you

Thanks Slicksam;

Does that wire come back into the drivers side fuse panel or is it just located at the cyliner?

Thanks again.

The astrochart shows for your car a blue with siler dots @ the door module inside the drivers door. Its a negative pulse. This will disarm without unlocking.................     posted_image

Good luck

yeah, the best option would be to find the acura's wire to disable without unlocking.  i recently did a similar crimestopper in a new avalon where you had to access the lock, unlock, and disarm in the driver's door. i was unable to locate a disarm wire that wouldnt unlock, so i used the factory disarm wire (-) on the crimestopper and tapped into the output on my unlock/disarm relay. you want to diode isolate just to be safe.

so, every time the car attempts to remote start, the doors briefly unlock (because of the disarm wire from the crimestopper, not pushing the unlock on the keyfob!). then i programmed the "lock during and after start" feature to lock.  there's about a 10 second window where the driver's door (driver unlock priority) will be unlocked.
