well a little over a year ago i installed a remote start on my car(98 monte carlo z34). i did the relay bypass for my vas security. but the security light come on. i was told that if the resistor is a little too off it will do that. well today i had to remplace a burn ligh bulb in the guage cluster so my buddy and i decided to get the closest resistance that we could. after 5 resistors we got 3.72k and my key reads 3.73k so that is pretty darm close. we switch that and the light still on. can some one help with gettin the light off. im about to just take the light bulb out

I would try to get one or 2 resistors to do the job. Or you could get a trimpot, and dial in the resistence exactly. How did you wire the relay?

i bypass it like this. https://www.drdetailshop.com/gmpellet.htm but 3.72 is really darm close to 3.73k is there any where i can just get a 3.73k resistor? i was reading last night after i posted that i had to bypass it permanently on 98 car but it doesnt say why. (here https://www.internationalelect.com/vatts.htm at the bottom where it says vats and says note) it works right now fine but it just keeps the light on. ------------- 2015 Hyundai Genesis Ultimate Black on Black

did you check the VATS fuse?

no i will check that when i get to my friends garage because right now it is snowing and i live in an aparment buildin
