Just installed the 2200 in my 1997 4Runner  with power door locks(negative pulsed).  I tied the second (progressive) unlock output wire from the module to the unlock relay input and used a seperate relay with the normal unlock output wire in order to only unlock the drivers door on the first press of the arm/disarm button.

This works just fine but when I press the arm/disarm again within 15 seconds in order to unlock the remaining doors the system rearms itself instead of waiting to see if I press the disarm button again.  Don't know why the system arms itself again on the second press which is well within the 15 seconds allowed.

I have checked to make sure the double pulse unlock mode is off which disables the second (progressive) unlock feature.  The second unlock voltage output reads 4.5V (while disconnected from the relay input) and does not change (should go to ground) no matter how many times I arm or disarm.  When the connected to the relay input it reads 12V as it should.

I got around the issue for now by using the channel 3 output to drive the unlock relay input which then unlocks the remaining doors.  I don't like this setup though because now I can unlock all the doors with the channel 3 button and the alarm is still armed. Of course I disarms first with channel which opens the drivers side door and then I can hit channel 3 which opens the rest of the doors.

Any ideas?  Thanks for any responses in advance.

Don't know what pulsing the child safety lock would have to do with the alarm not waiting to see if I hit the disarm button again.  As I stated earlier the alarm rearms itself on the second press of the disarm button. I could wire the unlock relay inputs so that all doors open on the first press of the disarm button but this is not what I want.  My other two vehicles have progressive unlock and they work just fine(they are not avital though).

it'd designed to...it's a 1 button arm/disarm feature... to get dedicated arm/disarm ( with second unlock ) you would have to go with the Avital 2300.....
