Hi everyone...I'm new here and I'm hoping I put this in the right forum.

I just bought a 1996 Chevy Cavalier Z24 and Im having problems with the headlights, radiator fan, and the horn. I think its related to the remote starter module. The remote starter is a Code Alarm CSM 2.5, and i have no key fobs for it either. I think somebody cut the wires for the remote starter and i was wondering if anyone could please help me out by removing the module so that i can figure out what wires i need to hook back up for my hdlts, rad. fan and horn. I hope this is making sense.

Mike

I take it that you do not have remotes for this remote starter and just want it removed?

All the main power connections for this install should have been performed at the ignition loom just back from the key barrel. I beleive that none of these wires should have been cut , they should be just spliced into , form what you have explained it may be a problem with the white wire a the ignition loom this wire is the secondary ignition wire .

This wire is needed for parts of the ignition circuit such as instruments and gauges etc.

Good luck

Thanks for the reply...yes i just want to remove it completely. About the cutting, I think someone tried to disconnect it once before and thats why some wires are cut. I will have to go take a look at the ignition loom.
