HI, i was trying to install a remote car alarm/starter and i cant get it to work. I have a 89 bonneville. it is a tecvox TC-4182. i have installed the starter part, i wired the 12 volt to the 12 v, the acc to the acc, the start to the start, and the on to ignition#1, i also wired the starter disable relay. it will give it 1 try to start it, but wont crank it, it's not even a full try thou, just enough to move my starter a bit. what is wrong?

It sounds like you have the wrong tach wire hooked up. It should be hooked up to the white wire at the distributor.

Did you put the starter wire to the right side of the starter kill relay?

i cut the starter wire and wired it to my starter disable relay, but that isnt the problem, my starter sytem doesn't come with a tach wire, it has a aircon wire, a 12v, a ground, a acc, a start, and a on. i assumed that i would hook my on up to the ignition 1, is that right?

-if you do not have a tach wire, then increase the crank time. but then again, reading ur post made it seems like the unit's wire is not engagin w/ the starter wire.

-either you place the starter wire on teh wrong side of the relay or your crank time is super low.

-btw, dont forget to hook up any necessary shutdown input like neutral switch.

Did you ever get it working?  I am having same problem.  What did you connect AIRCON wire to?  Is this connected to airconditioning switch?
