well I have searched the forums for about 2 hrs now. tried somethings that I thought it would be..and well im still posting.

I have the BOA 165B and the 555L passlock interface module

well heres the problem.  I wired up the remote start. tried the test wire...it starts and well it stalls out as you know cause the 555l isnt hooked up yet.  I hook up the 555l and it STILL stalls and flashes the theft light.

the R-code wires I am useing are the ones that are wrapped in the grayish electrical tape come out of the ignition switch.  black yellow to the yellow wire leading to the ignition switch.  yellow to yellow leading to the bcm.  black to black

so as you see it is something wrong with the module or my wiring since it still starts ( but doesnt stay running ) cause of the 555l

thank you in advance.  need to get this done asap before the women goes back to school in 2 days

you have that reversed... yellow goes to key side... yellow/black  to BCM side.... read the instructions more carefully

make sure that you let the remote start unit learn the tach.  this same thing happened to me when i installed a clifford w/ the 555L module.  i tried everything till one of my buddies told me to re-program the tach. this may not be what's wrong w/ yours, but it's worth a try.

try grounding the black wire. reconfirm that the pink is hooked to switched power, red to constant and blue/black is to ground when running.

Still doen't work. try another mod or buy another one from BB and return it later.

Still doesn't work. Ground the blue/black and try start. Maybe there is no output on the r/s.

did you connect anything to the brown 12 gauge wire off key switch? I do know this needs to be connected. Pretty sure it is access. Test to confirm

hope it helps

well everyone I really need your help now

heres my problems.  I cant get the gosh darn thing programmed.  since I couldnt get it programmed on the first try I had to keep disconnecting the battery. till I heard a poof noise. so I connected the batt.  hoped in the car started it ( with the key ) to see if everything was ok...well I found out the radio isnt working ( doesnt show the time, the red sercurty light doesnt even flash ) I checked all the fuses and nothing!

and another thing.   she has a manaul, how can I make a neutral safty switch so it will start without the clutch compressed?

thanx

well...can't help ya with the remote start prob but  i can help ya with the clutch,  if it's got two wires that have to connect rather then a wire straight off the starter curcuit you need a relay, put the 85 pin to ground out when running wire

86 pin to + when cranking wire

30 pin goes to one of the clutch wires

and 87 pin goes to the other clutch wire

if the wire going to the clutch is the same as the starter wire then just run the starter wire from the remote start unit to the starter side of the clutch switch

not to sound like a retard or anything. but can you draw a diagram of thta please?

and what do u mean by ( 86 pin to + when cranking wire ) ( when cranking? )

and what do u mean by ( 85 pin to ground out when running wire ) will any ground work?  or what.

sorry, like I said I am new to this.  and are all relays the same?  like a 4 prong relay?

Pin 86 goes to the start wire (+12v when cranking)

Pin 85 goes to the ground out when running wire on the r/s. You can use a for prong or a five prong rely. If you use a five prong, dont use pin 87A.
